(1547-1611) Sanada Masayuki was the third son of Sanada Yukitaka. He inherited his father's wisdom, and learned a lot about tactics and strategy working for Shingen at a young age. Masayuki was a good general in all respects, and enabled the Sanada family to survive after the fall of the Takeda clan.
Once Masayuki was even able to turn back a Tokugawa army of 38,000 men with only 3,000 men of his own. This earned him Tokugawa's respect. Totoyomi, one of Oda's strongest generals, called Masayuki 'a general that only comes once every few hundred years.'
