"I just received my copy today. I'm very pleased-it's much better than I was expecting, and I was expecting a lot! The world map portion of the game in particular is great-having supply lines, home cities, and realistic movement in terms of terrain effects are all touches that were glossed over in other similar games. An excellent variety of opposing clans as well, from the large to the small with the ikko-ikki and their fortified monasteries. The battlefield screens combine all the best from Takeda 1 and Shogun:Total War. The battlefields are excellent, especially the castles-from a lowly mountain fort to the splendor of Azuchi-jo. Having the option to just surround a castle and siege it rather than attack head on is nice. I even have the game running on a system that only has about half of the required specs (a little slow in battle mode, but not too bad). About the only thing I didn't like was that the husband of a married daughter takes over the clan when your daimyo dies. Very ahistorical and results in me holding on to all of my daughters! ... "
