Combat Skill represents a general's personal fighting skill. In addition to Combat Skill, each general has experience in each of the four different division types. Combining a general's Combat Skill with the experience of his/her division type will determine their strength in battle. A general's Combat Skill can be upgraded, but only by leading soldiers into battle will experience for a particular division type grow.
Intelligence decides the success rate of a general's Special Abilities. A general with higher intelligence will have a much higher success rate when using Special Abilities against generals with lower Intelligence. Intelligence also determines how fast a general may reuse a Special Ability. Each time an Ability is used, the general will need time to recover his/her before using an Ability again.

Leadership controls the morale of the general's soldiers. A general with high leadership will usually have his/her soldiers fight and hold their position longer even if the situation is dire. As well, higher Leadership allows a bigger target range when using Special Abilities.

The general who is the marshall will have their Leadership score influence the entire army, making it crucial to have a marshall with high Leadership. The marshall's Leadership also controls the battle drum's effectiveness when rallying the troops.
